Private networks / Caravan Parks

Private 5G for caravan parks.
Give every stay a better connection.

Bring broadband to holiday homes and keep the park team connected from reception to the last pitch. Private 5G can distribute connectivity across the estate, feeding guest Wi-Fi and supporting everyday park operations.

Plan for a full park: families streaming after a day out, reception handling arrivals, and maintenance teams turning accommodation around for the next guests.

Private 5G in practice

Connect the work. Improve the operation.

Guest Wi-Fi

Connect pitches, lodges and shared spaces

Private cellular links feed Wi-Fi access points around the park, bringing guest internet access to the places people stay and gather.

Park-wide reach

Connect beyond the reception building

A planned wireless network links separated park areas, helping extend service to accommodation and facilities beyond the main office.

Park operations

Keep the team connected behind the scenes

Connect back-office applications and staff devices alongside guest access, with separate access controls for the park’s operational systems.

The operational connection

Give every stay a better connection.

A caravan park’s busiest broadband period arrives when most guests are back at their accommodation. At the same time, the team still needs booking systems, card payments and a current view of maintenance jobs. A connection that works at reception is only the starting point.

Private 5G links suitable receivers and operational devices across the park. Wi-Fi inside each caravan or shared building connects guests’ familiar devices, while separate staff services carry job updates, CCTV events and groundskeeping robot status. Capacity and coverage follow the pitch layout and seasonal demand.

Practical caravan parks use cases

Connect the task to the people who act on it.

01

Make broadband part of the holiday home experience

A family arrives at its caravan, joins the accommodation’s Wi-Fi and opens the park’s welcome information. A suitable receiver connects the caravan or its serving access point to the private network. The internet service is planned for occupied pitches and evening demand, giving the operator a consistent way to connect accommodation across different parts of the park.

Reception can direct a guest to the right connection instructions and raise a support request against the pitch when needed. Owners and short-stay visitors can have the access arrangements selected by the operator. The park gains a service it can manage across the estate, rather than relying on the reach of a router in the reception building.

The opportunity: a clearer guest connection experience and a service designed around the whole park.
02

Get a caravan ready without chasing three separate teams

A housekeeper finds a leaking tap during changeover and records the pitch number, photograph and task in the park’s maintenance application. Private 5G carries the update from the accommodation area. Reception sees that the caravan needs attention, and a maintenance colleague receives the details on a connected handset before setting off.

A local edge AI application can also flag unusual water-meter patterns for the team to investigate, bringing sensor observations into the same work queue. The engineer records the repair and adds a completion photograph. Housekeeping and reception see the updated readiness status, so the guest’s arrival is coordinated around the actual condition of the accommodation.

The opportunity: fewer status calls, quicker maintenance handovers and a clearer picture of arrival readiness.
03

Keep the groundskeeping robot in the park’s daily plan

A robotic mower works through an assigned green space while the grounds team prepares the park for arriving guests. Private 5G carries its progress, battery status and assistance requests to the fleet application. An onboard vision system identifies an unexpected object on its route and pauses the task, sending an image for the grounds supervisor to review.

The supervisor sends a colleague to remove the obstruction and adjusts the next work area around an outdoor activity. Completed areas and outstanding jobs stay visible alongside the team’s other grounds tasks. Edge AI supports the observation close to the machine; the robot’s own safety system controls its movement and the team manages the work schedule.

The opportunity: better coordination of routine grounds work and fewer unnecessary trips to check machine status.

Robotics and edge AI

From an observation to a useful decision.

Connect groundskeeping robots to their task schedule and bring local edge AI observations into the park’s maintenance workflow. Staff can review a finding, assign the job and record its completion against the right pitch or asset.

Choose what the application should identify and who receives the result. A reviewed finding can become a work order, a confirmed handover or a record for the next shift, with the supporting evidence kept alongside it.

Design for the site

Map static caravans, touring pitches, reception, shared facilities and service routes. Caravan construction, trees, seasonal foliage and pitch layout influence receiver placement and the Wi-Fi design inside accommodation.

Connect to the existing workflow

Plan for full occupancy and evening usage. Separate guest, owner, payment and staff services, and agree onboarding, support and any paid access options before rollout.

Planning & costs

We help turn the opportunity into a working solution.

We assess your estate, devices and applications, then design connectivity around the work you want to improve. We help build a business case around the opportunity, deployment costs and ongoing support.

We handle the technical assessment and help connect the investment to useful results. The first conversation starts with what you want to achieve.

One area or the whole estate.

Start with a focused deployment and expand, or move ahead with a full programme. We shape delivery around your priorities and readiness, and coordinate installation with your operation.

Planning questions

Private 5G for caravan parks: your questions.

Will guests need a private 5G SIM in their phones?

For the guest Wi-Fi service, no. Their phones, tablets and laptops join local Wi-Fi. A compatible router or gateway connects that Wi-Fi network to private 5G. Staff devices can be connected separately.

Can existing devices and applications connect?

Compatible cellular devices connect directly; suitable gateways can link other equipment. We check the exact device models, interfaces and application requirements before choosing the design.

Where does edge AI run?

Selected analytics can run on local servers, with access and storage designed around the workflow. The application identifies agreed events; staff review the result and retain responsibility for the operational response.

What is needed to scope the project?

A site plan, the chosen task, device details and the applications involved provide a useful start. We then assess coverage, integration, installation and ongoing support for a defined proposal.
